Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. --Mark Twain

Work It!
It’s 5:03am and my alarm clock goes off….. Just so you know when I say 5:03am… I mean 5:03 IN THE EFFING MORNING! I drag myself out of my cozy bed and head to the kitchen where my protein powder is patiently waiting in a glass for some water to be added. I open my refrigerator and cringe and the first light I’ve seen all day, pull out my gallon of water and poor it into the glass. I do this as quickly as I can so I can avoid the light. I mix it together and drink it down while I close my eyes and wander to the bathroom. I flip the light on and it’s even worse than the refrigerator light!! I contemplate going back to bed but then I tell myself that I’m already up, and if I crawl back into my warm bed I will just be more tired the NEXT time my stinking alarm goes off. So I brush my teeth and pull my hair back, and put on my gym clothes. I make sure I have my headphones, because I know there’s no way in hell I can do cardio without music. I grab my keys and I’m out the door. For some reason once I step out into the fresh air I start to get excited. I know I’m about to sweat my face off and that I will both love and hate every second of it. I enter the gym and am greeted politely by one of the 2 morning workers “good morning Kristi, have a good workout!”….. About an hour later as I’m dripping with sweat and both exhausted and energized the great staff waves goodbye and never fails to say “see you tomorrow!” or “have a great day!”
This has become my pre- morning routine for the last three weeks. I’m preparing myself now so once my classes start in June I will be used to waking up before the sun. I know that my 8am-5pm work schedule followed by a 5:30pm-8pm school schedule that I’ll just be too tired to make time for the gym at the end of the day. So I’m pushing myself to my limits every morning. I love that I’m re-discovering my love for working out. Plus I’ve become a fan of going to an empty gym and never having to wait for equipment!
I spend a little time each day looking up motivational quotes, pictures or healthy recipes (thank you pinterest for making this super easy). I thought I’d share some of them here.
